Hi There,

    My name is Charlie Krager and I want to welcome you to New Genesis, which means “new beginnings”.  My wife Lyn and I are the Ministry Leaders of this Life Group and are here to support you in any way that we can.  New Genesis caters mainly to single adults in their 30’s and 40’s from all walks of life looking for a place to connect.  Its goal is to provide a stress free environment for fellowship, building relationships, and getting support through a variety of activities along with helping single adults fulfill God’s purposes for their lives. We meet every Saturday night to give praise, honor and glory to our Lord Jesus Christ, to study His Word, give testimonies of his goodness, lift up each other in prayer and have a fellowship time afterwards consisting of snacks J and playing a group game for all to participate in.

 

    New Genesis also provides activities outside the church for everyone to get to know each other better.  We have a Leadership Team that meets monthly to plan these events.  In the past we have gone to various concerts, special movie engagements, hiking, camping, boating, bowling, putt-putt golfing and other special events.  We have also held various types of tournaments, pizza parties, cooking lessons, prayer breakfasts, progressive dinners, picnics, scavenger hunts, dinner theaters, super bowl bashes, Christmas banquets, New Years Eve and birthday celebrations.  We have also taken 1-2 day trips to places like the Virginia Aquarium, Busch Gardens, Kings Dominion, Nags Head, Washington DC, and to see different caverns.  We’ve been involved in several outreach ministries such as soup kitchens, stocking food pantries to help the less fortunate, and putting on a thanksgiving dinner for those that had nowhere else to go.  One of the best things about attending our gatherings is Lyn’s fantastic cooking.  If you have been looking for a place to get involved, we encourage you to come and check us out.

 

    We use several methods to keep everyone informed of upcoming activities, such as word of mouth, email, text messages, flyers and this web site.  We also advertise upcoming events in our church bulletin.  If you would like to be added to our email group to keep informed of our upcoming events, get directions or find a ride to one of our events please send me an email at Charles2024@cox.net.
